Keszthely beach
Municipal beach in Keszthely and the Island Bath (városi strand és Szigetfürdő)
The first bathing house in Balaton was built in 1846 in Keszthely. Currently, the central municipal beach and its associated Island Bath are the largest beach area in the town. In the last decade, the coastal promenade and the cycle path around Lake Balaton were built and renovated, so it is easy to reach the central beach and the settlements of the southern and northern cost even by bike.
The Pavilion line, which leads to the beach, has restaurants and bars, and there are several entertainment venues on the beach, giving the center of Keszthely nightlife.

Libás beach
The newly built Libás beach is located on Keszthely, on the shore of Gyenesdias, next to the Yacht Harbor. Previously it worked as a free beach. It offers pleasant, shaded places and a calm environment.
Helikon beach
The Helikon Beach is located in the southern part of the city. There are also large green areas, willows, restaurants and buffets in the area.
Next to the beach is the long-standing Fisherman’s Inn, which opened in 1934 thanks to the Festetics family, a prominent noble family of Keszthely. Since 2012 it has been restored and now it offers special Hungarian and local dishes with a unique traditional athmosphere and live gipsy music.

Hévíz Thermal Lake
The Hévíz Lake Bath, Europe’s largest hot water spa, is only 5 km away from Keszthely. The spa offers healing and refreshment all year round.
It is the largest thermal lake in the world, which is available to bath. (47,500 square metres (511,286 sq ft) in area). The flow of water is very strong and the water in the lake is completely replenished every 72 hours. The waters are reported to be beneficial to patients suffering from rheumatic diseases and locomotor disorders, among others. There is a thriving health tourism industry in the area.
